Around the Blogosphere

Hi hi. (Yes, I'm still working a ton and that is the only reason for my infrequent posts. I'll do my best to keep up, so bear with me.) I love finding new websites and blogs. I think they are great avenues for finding inspiration and I think the influence they have on my own style keeps it from getting boring and stuck in a rut. Every Saturday I get an e-mail from 1st dibs , a great site for antique furniture, jewelry and vintage pieces and more, sending me items that a feature curator has picked for the day. A couple of  Saturdays ago, I noticed this pretty lady, Sarah Sherman Samuel, and decided to check out her blog . Let's just say I was intrigued. First, I stopped by a  tour of the townhouse  that she just sold over at the Glitter Guide . She recently bought a new house that she is completely revamping, which is something I can obviously relate to.  Take a look { here }. I thought these coral Ant...

Tales of a Wandering Shopper

Hello there. Hope all is well with you. Things were a little bit slow at the office the last week or so, so I had some time to window shop. Here are some of the little goodies I came across. This little guy is a vintage planter. He will be making an appearance on our Easter tablescape. I was really trying to figure out where these would fit in my house.  Unfortunately, sometimes you can't force something.  Boo! Love the color on these. I love the 'artichokey' shape of these lamps. I wish Hayden had a long and w...

Spring Fling

Image
Hello there friends. It snowed last night AGAIN.  It's still cold today.  It's still grey, but there are a few signs of spring that are keeping me going until spring finally appears. 1- Bulbs poking their heads out of the ground in the StyleBurbia garden (which are now covered with snow). I'm especially excited about the daffodils that Hayden and I planted this fall. 2- A little vacation we have planned to a warm destination that will help bridge the gap to spring.  3- There's just something about this time of year that makes you feel like you can start anew and reinvent yourself. I'm thinking maybe new hair cut and color and wearing a bit more makeup to give myself a new look. 4- Spring trends in fashion and home decor.  Here are some of the trends that I'm loving: MINTY, MINTY, MINTY Asos blouse with folded collar Joe Fresh jeans now available at JC Penney Leather School Boy bag from Joe Fresh ...
