Are you surprised? I'm sure you can't believe that I actually came back and put up another post and it didn't take me months?  LoL I'm trying!   So back to the porch.  Welcome back. Up the stairs we go.    I can see a big improvement already. I guess it couldn't have been much worse, right?            The porch re-do all started with this bench I found at Restoration Hardware. The color scheme came from the rug , which I saw by chance at Target. I always find that when you're actually looking for something you can never find it.  I thought the red and orange would be a good compliment to the pink paint of my house and porch and the maroon shutters.      I also got the smaller oblong (rectangle) pillows  during the same trip to Target.     I love this time of year. All of my hard work in the garden starts to pay off. Here are some of my hyacinths and daffodils (yes we need a spring clean up). Many more garden pics to follow.                            And this little guy... turned 8 months young yesterday.   Wow!        Seems like this was just yesterday-           and he's almost doing this!!! soooo not ready for that.. yes, I've had other babies, but crawling babies in a house full of stairs is not something I am used to (hello burbs).   yes, he's cute even with a little drool coming down his chin.         Lots of love to all of you.   Vacay pics to follow.   I can't wait!!   xo, Ris    

This past weekend we decided to have a few friends over for a little pool party. The boys got into their swimsuits as soon as they woke up. All the food was prepped and I got out all of my outdoor dining gear. Assortment of melamine tableware from Home Goods, Target, One Kings Lane and the sadly defunct Fortunoff I put the sunscreen into this cute little bucket I got from One Kings Lane .  I still hadn't gotten around to planting the annuals in their usual spot around the driveway.  I couldn't have people over to the house without finishing that up. Let's just say this big belly of mine is making it hard to do a lot of gardening this summer. Hi hi!! I am doing a lot better after all of the tree chaos . Thanks so much for asking.  ;) I guess my love of plants and trees started at an earlier age since my mom is the original tree hugger. In honor of Throwback Thursdays , #tbt, I'll share some pictures of me from back in the day. Check out my mom in her sexy short shorts (she is going to kill me when she sees this. LOL). There I am in the background playing with some hydrangeas, which are still some of my favorite flowers. Here's a little me and some hostas (among a million other different plants).
