Olli Lounger

Just a little note to say hello on this super rainy and foggy Wednesday. Loving these comfy and beautiful Olli loungers that are hand embroidered by Otomi Indians from Mexico. Joanne Zorkendorfer of Olli is the mind behind these lovely loungers. They would be an amazing addition to a tv room, play room or lounge area. The price tag is not for the faint of heart, but one can dream.  ps. In defense of the hefty price tag, it does take 2-3 months to embroider the cover of the lounger. My Life in Pictures

Date night. Black tie firm function at the Museum of Natural History. It was a priceless experience. It was so cool having cocktails by these dinosaurs and having dinner under this amazing blue whale . Epic. A little spring time action. One of the blooming cherry trees in our backyard. The pool is open.  It is still too cold to go swimming and the water is a swamp. We opened it a little early to make sure that it was good and ready for Memorial Day weekend. Good weather gods please shine down upon us. Don't you remember how our pool was finished just in time for the end of the summer last year? No? Take a look { here }.  Of course, all of this talk of pools and summer had me going ga-ga this week making sure that I was well prepared for the many, many guests I am planning on having this summer. Viva Mexico

Ok. It's been forever. I know. I know.  I could make excuses and I do have some up my sleeve, but what's the point? I missed you and hopefully you missed me too.  :) So, as you know my sister was pregnant. (Take a look { here }.) She no longer is and I have baby niece named Naomi!! Woo hoo!!! Finally, I have someone to buy all of those super cute girlie clothes for- so exciting!! Anywho, my sis and her hubby were planning their babymoon (for those of you unfamiliar with the term a babymoon is  a vacation taken by a couple that is expecting a baby, in order to allow the couple to enjoy a final trip together before the baby is born)  and I told her that I wanted to crash it. I mean fun in the sun without kiddos, how could I pass that up? Luckily she said yes and we started planning our trip. We decided on Mexico cuz my sister would be almost 8 months pregnant at the time, so we wanted her flight time to be as short as possible. My hubby ended up finding the perfe
