Hello there! Remember this pretty lady and this handsome guy? If you don't take a look { here } . Well, they are back! I had so many pictures from Amy's Brooklyn pad that I didn't want to cram all of them into my last post. So, here are a few more.... Amy's guest bathroom is simple and white, but I LOVE how she adds these intense splashes of color to take the space from normal to AMAZING. Super cute idea, right? Guest bath towels in this lovely basket. All bath accessories by Jonathan Adler. See { here } , { here } , { here } and { here } . Here's Amy's closet. MAJOR! MAJOR! For you non-city dwellers this closet is beyond a rarity in most NYC apartments. I definitely need this jewelery storage in my new closet. Master Bathroom.  Super sleek and contemporary. Happy Monday (is there such a thing?)! B-day dinner with hubby went great.  We went to an Italian restaurant called Scarpetta.  Take a look { here } .   It's not your average, run-of-the mill Italian restaurant with the traditional chicken parmigiana and meatballs (don't get me wrong I love those dishes).  The food was amazing. We had Tuna 'Susci' and Braised Short Ribs of Beef for appetizers.  We shared the Spaghetti and had Branzino and Black Cod for entrees. Yum! I'm getting hungry just typing about it. Check out the menu { here } . Thanks to my friend, Chris, who always provides the best tips on what restaurant I should go to next. Dining Room at Scarpetta- the ceiling is a huge skylight (Image via Scarpetta)   For those of you kind enough to help me pick what accessories to wear to my hubby's dinner (See { here } ), I totally mixed things up and ended up wearing the dark blue necklace and the sil...

Bathroom Lighting Update

You know I love me some searching through a million sites on the internet.  I can't get enough.  I entered "bathroom sconces" into houzz.com because I didn't LOVE the sconces I had posted about { here } .  They were nice and I liked them a lot, but I wasn't ecstatic about them.  So, "bathroom sconces" lead me to these lovelies.  I thought, "Wow.  These are different."    Dayna Katlin Interiors bathroom- Image from houzz.com Houzz.com has a section where readers can ask questions about the rooms that people post on the site.  Not everyone answers the questions, but the lovely Dayna Katlin, who designed the above bathroom, was nice enough to tell Houzz readers where she got these sconces: Circa Lighting.  So, my search continued.  Over to Circalighting.com I went.  This is what I found: The sconces from my search on Houzz.com : Primitive sconce by Clodagh When I showed these sconce...

One Kings Lane is a site that offers flash sales on furniture and home decor (for those of you who didn't know). While looking at their site yesterday I noticed a sale on Diane von Furstenberg bedding.  Diane- as I like to call her cuz we are close, personal friends ;) - always has really interesting patterns and designs, especially compared to some of the snooze-worthy (pun intended) bedding that I usually see.  Her sale ends tomorrow, May 24th, (sorry for the late notice) but it's definitely worth checking out.  P.S I saw a couple of these duvets for regular price on Bloomingdales so you are definitely getting a deal. See here and here . A few of my favs: DVF Dancing Knots bedding at One Kings Lane DVF 50s Stripe Stand Alone bedding at One Kings Lane Giant Brush Marks DVF bedding Though not on sale at One Kings Lane, loving this Jonathan Adler bedding: Jonathan Adler Fishscales Bedding from Layla Grace C...
