Tales of a Wandering Shopper

Image
Hello there. Hope all is well with you. Things were a little bit slow at the office the last week or so, so I had some time to window shop. Here are some of the little goodies I came across. This little guy is a vintage planter. He will be making an appearance on our Easter tablescape. Who doesn't love Home Goods?  Seriously.  They had a bunch of super cute storage options for the boys' play room, lovely lamps, and beautiful picture frames at budget friendly prices.  What more can you want? These were too cute to pass up.  All of the boys' junk  toys will be going into these. I had to have all of these lamps.  Yes, every single one . I was really trying to figure out where these would fit in my house.  Unfortunately, sometimes you can't force something.  Boo! Love the color on these. I love the 'artichokey' shape of these lamps. Spring Fling

Hello there friends. It snowed last night AGAIN.  It's still cold today.  It's still grey, but there are a few signs of spring that are keeping me going until spring finally appears. 1- Bulbs poking their heads out of the ground in the StyleBurbia garden (which are now covered with snow). I'm especially excited about the daffodils that Hayden and I planted this fall. 2- A little vacation we have planned to a warm destination that will help bridge the gap to spring.  3- There's just something about this time of year that makes you feel like you can start anew and reinvent yourself. I'm thinking maybe new hair cut and color and wearing a bit more makeup to give myself a new look. 4- Spring trends in fashion and home decor.  Here are some of the trends that I'm loving: MINTY, MINTY, MINTY Asos blouse with folded collar Joe Fresh jeans now available at JC Penney Leather School Boy bag from Joe Fresh

You can also take a look { here }, { here } and { here }. I have some loyal California readers that loved our master bathroom just the way it was. I know subway tiles are all the rage now, but every bathroom in our Brooklyn hood had subway tile and so did every bathroom of the houses we looked at in our new Burbia town. I was just tiiiiiired of it.  More importantly, though it's not clear from the pictures, the tile needed a pick me up. and what I mean by pick me up is a complete gut job. lol. Getting there: Remember the tile palette that we were using? From top left corner going clockwise- tile for shower floor, tile for floor, tile for accent wall behind vanities and tile for accent wall behind the tub.  There was also on
