Master Update

Hello there lovies and Happy Friday! Don't you love a short work week? I'm so happy that the weekend is here again and the weather has finally (fingers crossed) made a turn for the warmer. I finally have some pictures from our Master Bedroom. Yes, I have been promising these for a while.  Yes, I have not lived up to my promises.  Don't hate me :( You know I always like to show a little bit of before, during and after. We've Come A Long Way, Baby

Happy Wednesday! When we first saw our house the Master Bedroom looked like this: No complaints.  It was a good size and got a lot of light. Then it looked like this: We took out the carpet (it was a bit more worn than we originally thought it was.), repainted in a similar hue that had more grey than blue undertones and redid the floors. Paint- Dolphin Fin by Behr Things were looking pretty good (at least I thought so).  Then we had the insulation done and it looked like this: Eeeek!! They bored holes into my walls!! Then we had to patch the holes and REPAINT! We had to do this ALL OVER THE HOUSE. Now on to the Master Closet... Paint, Paint, Paint

The previous owners of our house had good taste in paint.  We liked every color in the house, but we wanted to change things up.  Paint is an easy and relatively inexpensive way to change the feel of a room or an entire house.  The previous owners had 3 daughters and we have two sons, so we wanted to give their bedrooms a slightly more 'boyish' vibe without painting both of their rooms the standard baby blue. Here are pics of our older boy-H's room (excuse the mess): Before  Now Here are some pics of our little boy, T's room:  Before Now (this is actually a light green, but appears more yellow in the sunlight) We decided to keep the carpeting in the rooms as the stripes are playful and good for a kid's room.  We already bought new ceiling fans for both rooms, so those should be up shortly.
