Porch Reveal

Image
Are you surprised? I'm sure you can't believe that I actually came back and put up another post and it didn't take me months?  LoL I'm trying!   So back to the porch. Welcome back. Up the stairs we go.    I can see a big improvement already. I guess it couldn't have been much worse, right?            The porch re-do all started with this bench I found at Restoration Hardware. The color scheme came from the rug , which I saw by chance at Target. I always find that when you're actually looking for something you can never find it.  I thought the red and orange would be a good compliment to the pink paint of my house and porch and the maroon shutters.      I also got the smaller oblong (rectangle) pillows  during the same trip to Target. The other pillows are from Pottery Barn and Cost Plus World Market.  The stools/side t...

Finally. Something Done.

I was sadly delusional when I was on maternity leave. I thought that I would get a ton of my little projects done and a lot of spaces would be transformed. That  SO did not happen. Needless to say, I turned into a crazy woman and tried to do as much as possible.   Here's a sneak peak at a project that I am working on in my closet area/dressing room.     I picked up the armoire from Restoration Hardware to store some of my bags and shoes. Yeah cuz a shoe closet and another closet just isn'...

Spring Fling

Image
Hello there friends. It snowed last night AGAIN.  It's still cold today.  It's still grey, but there are a few signs of spring that are keeping me going until spring finally appears. 1- Bulbs poking their heads out of the ground in the StyleBurbia garden (which are now covered with snow). I'm especially excited about the daffodils that Hayden and I planted this fall. 2- A little vacation we have planned to a warm destination that will help bridge the gap to spring.  3- There's just something about this time of year that makes you feel like you can start anew and reinvent yourself. I'm thinking maybe new hair cut and color and wearing a bit more makeup to give myself a new look. 4- Spring trends in fashion and home decor.  Here are some of the trends that I'm loving: MINTY, MINTY, MINTY Asos blouse with folded collar Joe Fresh jeans now available at JC Penney Leather School Boy bag from Joe Fresh ...
