Spring Fling

Hello there friends. It snowed last night AGAIN.  It's still cold today.  It's still grey, but there are a few signs of spring that are keeping me going until spring finally appears. 1- Bulbs poking their heads out of the ground in the StyleBurbia garden (which are now covered with snow). I'm especially excited about the daffodils that Hayden and I planted this fall. 2- A little vacation we have planned to a warm destination that will help bridge the gap to spring.  3- There's just something about this time of year that makes you feel like you can start anew and reinvent yourself. I'm thinking maybe new hair cut and color and wearing a bit more makeup to give myself a new look. 4- Spring trends in fashion and home decor.  Here are some of the trends that I'm loving: MINTY, MINTY, MINTY Asos blouse with folded collar Joe Fresh jeans now available at JC Penney Leather School Boy bag from Joe Fresh ...

The Joe Fresh flagship store opened near my office a couple of Fridays ago. I had posted some of their clothes on my spring shopping list , so I had to check it out. I ended up picking up a couple of dresses , a couple t-shirts , a couple button-downs , a pair of colored jeans  and a pair of shorts . We had a meeting in Burbia to check out a preschool for our older son, H.  See how I styled my new Joe Fresh dress for our meeting. Dress: Joe Fresh , Coat: J. Crew (old), Boots: BP Runway boot from Nordstrom , Bag: Miu Miu , Necklace: J. Crew (old), Sunglasses: Ralph Lauren (old) see similar here , Watch: Armitron (not Michael Kors or real gold- based on comments I get all the time. lol) The kids, hubby and I are all going on vacation with my parents, my sister and her husband, my father-in-law, one of my husband's brothers and a few of our friends who also have kids.  It's going to be a huge crew and hopefully a huge amount of fun....

So, here's what's on my list: 1) Crisp white shirt Stretch perfect shirt Not much to say about this.  It's classic.  It goes with everything- pants, skirts, jeans and shorts.   It should always be a staple in your wardrobe. See a budget-friendly version here at Joe Fresh. 2) Gingham button down JCrew Perfect shirt in mini-gingham Cute, girly and sweet, but still professional enough that you can wear it to work.  I'll be paring mine with trousers and pencil skirts during the week and white jeans during the weekend.  This would also look super cute with cut off shorts or bermudas depending on your preference when it comes to the length of y...
