Finally. Something Done.

I was sadly delusional when I was on maternity leave. I thought that I would get a ton of my little projects done and a lot of spaces would be transformed. That  SO did not happen. That's when I have to remind myself that I was a tiny bit busy taking care of a baby and shuttling around two other kiddos to and from school and their myriad of activities. :)   So, the other day we had a 3 day weekend. (Note: This 3 day weekend was more than a month ago now... I've been working on this post since then when I can fit it in between my insane work hours.)  I surprisingly did not have any work to do. Needless to say, I turned into a crazy woman and tried to do as much as possible.   Here's a sneak peak at a project that I am working on in my closet area/dressing room.     I picked up the armoire from Restoration Hardware to store some of my bags and shoes. Yeah cuz a shoe closet and another closet just isn'...

Hello. Hello. Hello. Happy New Year!!   Did you send out a search party looking for me? Let's just say that having 3 kiddos ain't easy even if you have a lot of help.   My maternity leave has come and gone and I'm back to the daily grind.   Since it's been a while since we last spoke, here's a little photo medley of what I've been up to over the last few months.            Some skiing/snowboarding action in Lake Tahoe over Christmas and New Years:                           We have LOTS of catching up to do. How have you been? What have you been up to????   Glad to be back in the saddle.   xo, Ris

Let's just say this big belly of mine is making it hard to do a lot of gardening this summer. So, I enlisted some help: While Tristan was helping with the planting, Hayden helped by taking over my phone to document the process: More importantly, he had to take a TON of selfies while we were toiling away . ...

My Life in Pictures

Date night. Black tie firm function at the Museum of Natural History. It was a priceless experience. It was so cool having cocktails by these dinosaurs and having dinner under this amazing blue whale . Epic. A little spring time action. One of the blooming cherry trees in our backyard. The pool is open.  It is still too cold to go swimming and the water is a swamp. We opened it a little early to make sure that it was good and ready for Memorial Day weekend. Good weather gods please shine down upon us. Don't you remember how our pool was finished just in time for the end of the summer last year? No? Take a look { here }.  Of course, all of this talk of pools and summer had me going ga-ga this week making sure that I was well prepared for the many, many guests I am planning on having this summer. Yes, please invite yourself over. We will be poolside all summer. I am making up for last summe...
