Viva Mexico



Ok. It's been forever. I know. I know. 

I could make excuses and I do have some up my sleeve, but what's the point? I missed you and hopefully you missed me too.  :)

 So, as you know my sister was pregnant. (Take a look {here}.) She no longer is and I have baby niece named Naomi!!
Woo hoo!!! Finally, I have someone to buy all of those super cute girlie clothes for- so exciting!!

 Anywho, my sis and her hubby were planning their babymoon (for those of you unfamiliar with the term a babymoon is a vacation taken by a couple that is expecting a baby, in order to allow the couple to enjoy a final trip together before the baby is born) and I told her that I wanted to crash it.

 I mean fun in the sun without kiddos, how could I pass that up? Luckily she said yes and we started planning our trip. We decided on Mexico cuz my sister would be almost 8 months pregnant at the time, so we wanted her flight time to be as short as possible. My hubby ended up finding the perfect hotel right outside of Cabo San Lucas in a town called San Jose del Cabo. The name of the hotel is El Ganzo, which means goose in Spanish. Seriously, this place was perfect- no kids allowed, not too big with a million guests, amazing decor and architecture, very quiet, excellent food, attentive staff... need I say more???
So enough gibber gabber, here are the pics:

Since a lot of the beaches in the Cabo area are unswimable, our hotel made a little beach with some jetties.

ps. After all of our planning to crash my sister and brother in law's babymoon, it ended up being a babymoon for us too!!!

Baby #3 is due August 10th and no we aren't finding out what we are having. You will have to stayed tuned to find out.

I'm a BIG fan of mirrors.  I think buying an amazing mirror can take a space from being ho-hum to over-the-top .  I also really love mirrored furniture, especially tables.  Here are some of my current favs.  Now, I know some of these are pricey, but we're talking inspiration here.  If these are out of range for you, you can always try a similar style at a discount home store like Home Goods.  Do you have a favorite store where you can always pick up great home decor? What are you Reading?

It's raining in NYC, which is quite welcome considering how extremely hot it has been the last few weeks. Days like these make me feel like staying home and curling up with a good book and a cup of coffee.  In fact, our new house has a porch (wish list item), so I'm looking forward to spending some time out there under a blanket with a cool breeze blowing over me with a glass of wine, book in hand (not sure how I can do this with two toddlers running around).  Wow! I'm really getting into this porch scenario.  You can tell I've obviously thought about this.. A LOT. This would be a good place to curl up. Weekend in Review

Hello there! It's been waaaaay tooooo long. So sorry for my absence, but my nanny/babysitter had a death in the family and had to go home for a week.  All of our back up babysitters-aka our parents- were out of the country, traveling for business or extremely busy at the office and therefore could not provide their usual assistance.  Luckily for us, hubby's company has emergency daycare that you can use 3 weeks out of the year for situations just like this.  I really have to take my hat off to parents who schlep their kiddos every day to daycare, summer camp, grandma and grandpa's house etc. before they head into the office.  Let me just say it ain't easy getting those little guys dressed and fed and out the door early in the morning (of course I have to do this on weekends, but there isn't the pressure of being late for work).  The boys ended up having a great time and enjoyed taking the subway every day, so somehow we survived.  Oh- and most important
