Greetings and Salutations

Hello!

Greetings from the real world.  Coming back from vacation can be.. how shall I put it? BRUTAL!!!
The fam and I were down on South Padre Island in Texas (yes, this is a favorite of many spring breakers) for a week-long affair.  Let me just say it was short of amazing.  The weather was incredible- in the 80s- sunny and breezy.  The company couldn't be beat.  The food was plentiful and the drinks were flowing.  What more could a girl want? Hmmm... a longer vacation, a vacation after my vacation, a few days at home to get my act together????  :)

Speaking of getting my act together, let's just say it's not together at all right now.  I still have 'beach hair' (aka I can't get a comb through my hair and must wear it in a bun).  I was so tired this morning that I could not piece together an outfit to wear to the office.  I ended up wearing a maternity shirt (no, I am not pregnant).  I didn't realize it until I had already 'incoporated' it into my 'outfit', so there was no going back. Don't worry no one could tell (at least that's what I keep telling myself).  I also threw on a blazer from the back of my closet that I've had since high school and let's just say that it's been a bit of time since then.  ;)  So, I'm sure my colleagues must think I'm semi-sea monster right now, but at least I have a nice tan.

I thought I would have a ton of vacation pictures to post, but let's just say chasing around two kids all day and finding time after they go to bed to spend *some* time with your friends and family is EXHAUSTING.

What are you Reading?

It's raining in NYC, which is quite welcome considering how extremely hot it has been the last few weeks. Days like these make me feel like staying home and curling up with a good book and a cup of coffee.  In fact, our new house has a porch (wish list item), so I'm looking forward to spending some time out there under a blanket with a cool breeze blowing over me with a glass of wine, book in hand (not sure how I can do this with two toddlers running around).  Wow! I'm really getting into this porch scenario.  You can tell I've obviously thought about this.. A LOT. This would be a good place to curl up. Weekend in Review

Hello there! It's been waaaaay tooooo long. So sorry for my absence, but my nanny/babysitter had a death in the family and had to go home for a week.  All of our back up babysitters-aka our parents- were out of the country, traveling for business or extremely busy at the office and therefore could not provide their usual assistance.  Luckily for us, hubby's company has emergency daycare that you can use 3 weeks out of the year for situations just like this.  I really have to take my hat off to parents who schlep their kiddos every day to daycare, summer camp, grandma and grandpa's house etc. before they head into the office.  Let me just say it ain't easy getting those little guys dressed and fed and out the door early in the morning (of course I have to do this on weekends, but there isn't the pressure of being late for work).  The boys ended up having a great time and enjoyed taking the subway every day, so somehow we survived.  Oh- and most important
