Spring Parties- What to Wear?

My sister recently told me that she has a bunch of events this spring and summer to attend- a baby shower, a bridal shower and at least two weddings.  So, I took it upon myself to make a little collage of some of my fav looks for these type of events.  The good thing is there are a ton of spring sales going on right now, so you can always take these looks for inspiration and go from there.

Porch Reveal

Are you surprised? I'm sure you can't believe that I actually came back and put up another post and it didn't take me months?  LoL I'm trying!   So back to the porch.  Welcome back. Up the stairs we go.    I can see a big improvement already. I guess it couldn't have been much worse, right?            The porch re-do all started with this bench I found at Restoration Hardware. The color scheme came from the rug , which I saw by chance at Target. I always find that when you're actually looking for something you can never find it.  I thought the red and orange would be a good compliment to the pink paint of my house and porch and the maroon shutters.      I also got the smaller oblong (rectangle) pillows  during the same trip to Target. Our Apartment

Happy Friday!! We are still living in our apartment while we renovate our new house.  We've lived in our apartment for about 5 years now and it's been a great place to live.  People that don't live in NYC are always talking about how apartments here are so expensive and small.  It's true that you don't have the space in the city that you would if you lived in the suburbs, but there are so many great things about living here- easy commute to Manhattan for work- subways run 24/7 and they come pretty frequently; tons of amazing nightlife-bars and clubs; access to some of the best restaurants in the WORLD; great delivery services- you can get food, dry cleaning and laundry, groceries, prescriptions and many, many more things delivered right to your door; cultural activities; outstanding shopping; beautiful Central and Prospect Parks; crossing paths with people from every country around the globe.  This list could go on and on.
