Nightie, Night

Being the mother of two boys under the age of 3, I am always tired.  My boys aren't the greatest sleepers.  They are always getting up in the middle of the night for some reason.  My 3 year old: to drink water, to go to the bathroom, just because, to join us in bed... My 1 year old: he has a new tooth coming in, he's sick, he just wants to snuggle up between my husband and I...  Needless to say, the bags under my eyes are not cute right now (actually, bags are never cute), hence the lack of pictures of me right now.  :)

So, the other night, instead of going to bed right after my kids had fallen asleep (which would have helped reduce such bags significantly), I spent countless hours on the internet looking up random stuff.  I suddenly fell into the land of the nightlight.  Nightlights are great because they serve a purpose, but are so much cuter than they were when I was growing up.  Now they are actually decor that adds a little whimsy to your child's room.  Before you childless readers turn your backs on what you think will be another post ALL about kids' stuff, keep reading cuz I've included something for you too.

Here are some of the nightlights I came across that I really loved.  They are so cute.  It makes you wonder, how many nightlights can you have in your house before it starts becoming a bit STRANGE?

The Land of Nod had so many to choose from (see here), it was hard for me to pick a favorite, but of course I did.

Land of Nod- Hedgehog Nightlight

My older son has this rocket ship nightlight. It goes with the space theme in his current room in our apartment. It's great because it also doubles as a toy that he flies around everywhere.

OXO Rocket ship Nightlight

This one is so sleek and modern.  It really makes you want to have it in your own room instead of the kiddos'.  According to giggle.com's description, this J Schatz star egg nightlight "has tiny pinprick holes that let out just enough light to create a dazzling starry-night effect on the ceiling."  Wouldn't it be nice to fall asleep (in your own bed) under the stars with the one you love?  Sure, it's a bit pricey, but I think the experience is totally worth it.
This one's for the grownups

Here's one with a similiar concept, but with a smaller price tag:

Hope you're sleeping more than I am!!!

    1. The poor little ones, they can't have anything for themselves! When we move to the new house, I think I'll buy the turtle for one of the boys and the egg for me! LOL
