Happy Friday!

I graduated from grad school 10 years ago though it really does feel like it was just the other day...
Wow! I feel old. 
 Our school had a 10 year reunion party last night.  It was a fun night.  I got to see people I literally have not seen in 10 years and I got to reconnect with friends that I should see more often.  All in all, it was a lovely evening (minus the food and drinks at the event, which is a whole other story). 

My amazing, beautiful sons, whom I love very much, BOTH decided it would be good to wake up this morning at 5:30 AM!! Yes, that's right.  Hubby and I escape for a night out, which doesn't happen often enough, and this is how we are repaid.  Ugh.

    Lol.... Weekend mornings are the only time, despite me carrying my daughter for 9 months in the womb, I am soooooo happy she calls for "Papa" in the morning when she wakes up. I simply roll over, kiss my husband lovingly on the cheek, and say, "go get your daughter." lol. The last time I tried getting her from her crib when she specifically called for dad, I got a pacifier thrown at me...lol. I will totally drink to a weekend with no early morning wake ups... Even for my darling husband...lol.

      Thank God for good hubbys, huh? I can't wait for the days with no early morning wake ups!! Unfortunately, I don't see any in my immediate future. lol

It's raining in NYC, which is quite welcome considering how extremely hot it has been the last few weeks. Days like these make me feel like staying home and curling up with a good book and a cup of coffee.  In fact, our new house has a porch (wish list item), so I'm looking forward to spending some time out there under a blanket with a cool breeze blowing over me with a glass of wine, book in hand (not sure how I can do this with two toddlers running around).  Wow! Our Apartment

Happy Friday!! We are still living in our apartment while we renovate our new house.  We've lived in our apartment for about 5 years now and it's been a great place to live.  People that don't live in NYC are always talking about how apartments here are so expensive and small.  It's true that you don't have the space in the city that you would if you lived in the suburbs, but there are so many great things about living here- easy commute to Manhattan for work- subways run 24/7 and they come pretty frequently; tons of amazing nightlife-bars and clubs; access to some of the best restaurants in the WORLD; great delivery services- you can get food, dry cleaning and laundry, groceries, prescriptions and many, many more things delivered right to your door; cultural activities; outstanding shopping; beautiful Central and Prospect Parks; crossing paths with people from every country around the globe.  This list could go on and on.
